Connect for Water is excited to be partnering with Kamukunji Paralegal Trust (KAPLET)
Kamukunji Paralegal Trust (KAPLET) is a nonprofit based in Kenya that advocates for access to services like healthcare, education, and clean water to those living in the rural regions of Kenya.
KAPLET is currently engaging with poor and vulnerable marginalized communities that are found in counties of Garissa and Tana River in the north eastern part of Kenya. The people who occupy these villages of Garissa and Tana River continuously face starvation during dry season and flooding during heavy downfall, and at times they face violent conflicts when in search of water.
In 2018, KAPLET delivered aid to 1,600 households in the wake of devastating flooding in the region, and their goal for 2019 is to bring aid to a total of 5.000 households. Please consider coming alongside us as we help expand the reach of the good work that is already going on in Kenya. Your donation can make a difference.
